Assessment of Constraints Faced by Rural Women of Assam in Adoption of Technology

The present study was conducted to explore the level of adoption technology by rural women and constraints faced them in adoption. Three vocational trainings namely ‘Food processing preservation’, ‘Mushroom cultivation’ ‘Vermicompost production’ were selected respondents adopting technologies learnt Krishi Vigyan Kendras(KVKs). reveals that 69.33 per cent belonged medium socio economic category. Respondents preservation’ training adoption, followed low (21.67%), whereas among trainees Mushroom production Vermicompost production, highest percentage Data on constraints. ‘Lack financial resource for starting a new venture’ reported as major constraint with mean score 1.33 women.
